The Food Project Jointly Invested by SFI and Wilmar Settles in KSGIP

SATS, a leading provider of gateway services and food solutions in this region in Singapore, sets up a joint venture project with Yihai kerry Group in KSGIP. Du Xiaogang, mayor of Kunshan, Jin Min, vice mayor of Kunshan, Alex Hungate, CEO of SATS CEO and Niu Yuxin, board member of SATS and general manager of Yihai Kerry Group attended the signing ceremony on the morning, 5th April.

Mr. Du Xiaogang said at the signing ceremony that the new project signed successfully with SATS and Yihai Kerry is a model of strong-strong collaboration in the same industry. Kunshan Government will fully support and create a good production environment for the new project.Alex Hungate said “We are very satisfied with the geographical location and efficient administrative services. SFI is a subsidiary wholly owned by SATS Ltd. SATS is a leading provider of gateway services and food solutions in Asia. And SATS’ food solutions cover two areas: food service and gateway service, including inflight catering, airport catering, food distribution and logistics, ramp handling and baggage handling as well as aviation security services. SATS is present at 45 airports and 12 countries across the world. Wilmar International Limited ("Wilmar"), a global leading agribusiness group whose business activities include palm oil cultivation, oilseed crushing, flour and grains, etc. Its sales in 2015 reached USD 43.1billion and is listed as No.369 of global top 500 companies.

With total investment of USD 95million and registered capital of USD 32million, the plant in KSGIP is jointly invested by SFI and Wilmar in KSGIP as the first cooperative plant by two parties. This new plant specializes in airport catering, chain restaurants catering and central kitchen. With full operation, its annual output of airport catering will reach 200-250 million packages and the sales will reach 1 billion Yuan.
